Aanya Khandelwal
President
As Regional Leader for UAE, she oversees the projects throughout the UAE including our social media, podcast, magazine, webinars and most notably, our events. She works to host large-audiences and guests searching for ways to discuss how we can enhance female involvement in the MENA region within all sectors. Aanya leads the Action Coalition for UAE, and is part of Generation Equality with UN Women. She is a member of Amnesty International and focuses on women's rights related issues. She is also a leader under the Harvard Kennedy Society's W3D Organizations Dubai Chapter.
Apart from leading Girl Up UAE's vision and agenda, Aanya is an active member of YOUNGO, The youth constituency of the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change), and is part of the YOUNGO Women and Gender Working Group, 2023. She plays an active role in the climate movement in the UAE. She leads the Girl Up UAE Podcast along with the Girl Up UAE Ambassadors Program.
